So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O [thou] man of God, [there is] death in the pot. And they could not eat [thereof].

3. 40తినుటకు వారు వడ్డింపగా ప్రవక్తల శిష్యులు రుచిచూచిదైవజనుడా, కుండలో విషమున్నదని కేకలువేసి దానిని తినక మానిరి.
4. 41అతడుపిండి కొంత తెమ్మనెను. వారు తేగాకుండలో దాని వేసి, జనులు భోజనము చేయు టకు వడ్డించుడని చెప్పెను. వడ్డింపగా కుండలో మరి ఏ జబ్బు కనిపింపకపోయెను.
5. 42మరియు ఒకడు బయల్షాలిషానుండి మొదటి పంట బాపతు యవల పిండితో చేయబడిన యిరువది రొట్టెలను, క్రొత్త గోధుమ వెన్నులను కొన్ని పండ్లను తీసికొని వచ్చి దైవజనుడైన అతనికి కానుకగా ఇయ్యగా అతడు జనులు భోజనము చేయుటకు దాని వడ్డించుమనెను.
