నీవు బయటికి రాకయుండిన యెడల ఈ రాత్రి యొకడును నీయొద్ద నిలువడని యెహోవా నామమునుబట్టి ప్రమాణము చేసి చెప్పుచున్నాను; నీ బాల్యమునుండి నేటివరకు నీకు ప్రాప్తించిన అపాయము లన్నిటికంటె అది నీకు కష్టతరముగా ఉండునని రాజుతో మనవిచేయగా రాజు లేచి వచ్చి గుమ్మములో కూర్చుం డెను.

King James Version (KJV): Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.
World English Bible (WEB): Now therefore arise, go out and speak to comfort your servants; for I swear by the LORD, if you don’t go out, not a man will stay with you this night. That would be worse to you than all the evil that has happened to you from your youth until now.”

6నీ స్నేహితుల యెడల ప్రేమ చూపక నీ శత్రువులయెడలప్రేమ చూపుచు, ఈ దినమున అధిపతులును సేవకులును నీకు ఇష్టజనులుకారని నీవు కనుపరచితివి. మేమందరము చనిపోయి అబ్షాలోము బ్రదికియుండినయెడల అది నీకు ఇష్టమగునన్న మాట యీ దినమున నేను తెలిసికొనుచున్నాను. ఇప్పుడు లేచి బయటికివచ్చి నీ సేవకులను ధైర్యపరచుము.

8రాజు గుమ్మములో కూర్చున్నాడను మాట జనులందరు విని రాజును దర్శింప వచ్చిరిగాని ఇశ్రాయేలువారు తమ తమ యిండ్లకు పారిపోయిరి.
9అంతట ఇశ్రాయేలువారి గోత్రములకు చేరికైన జనులందరు ఇట్లనుకొనిరిమన శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండియు, ఫిలిష్తీయుల చేతిలోనుండియు మనలను విడిపించిన రాజు అబ్షాలోమునకు భయపడి దేశములోనుండి పారిపోయెను.
