యెబూసీయులను హతము చేయు వారందరు నీటి కాలువపైకి వెళ్లి, దావీదునకు హేయులైన గ్రుడ్డివారిని కుంటివారిని హతము చేయవలెనని చెప్పెను. అందును బట్టి గ్రుడ్డివారును కుంటివారును ఉన్నారు; అతడు ఇంటిలోనికి రాలేడని సామెతపుట్టెను.

Yebooseeyulanu hatamu cheyu vaarandaru neeti kaaluvapaiki velli, daaveedunaku heyulaina gruddivaarini kuntivaarini hatamu cheyavalenani cheppenu. Andunu batti gruddivaarunu kuntivaarunu unnaaru; atadu intiloniki raaledani saametaputtenu.

King James Version (KJV): And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, [that are] hated of David’s soul, [he shall be chief and captain]. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
World English Bible (WEB): David said on that day, “Whoever strikes the Jebusites, let him go up to the watercourse and strike those lame and blind, who are hated by David’s soul.” Therefore they say, “The blind and the lame can’t come into the house.”
American Standard Version (ASV): And David said on that day, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites, let him get up to the watercourse, and [smite] the lame and the blind, that are hated of David’s soul. Wherefore they say, There are the blind and the lame; he cannot come into the house.
