1. 2సౌలు కుటుంబమునకు సేవకుడగు సీబాయను ఒకడుండగా వారు అతనిని దావీదునొద్దకు పిలువనంపిరి. రాజుసీబావు నీవేగదా అని అడుగగా అతడునీ దాసుడనైన నేనే సీబాను అనెను.
2. 3రాజుయెహోవా నాకు దయచూపినట్లుగా నేను ఉపకారము చేయుటకు సౌలు కుటుంబములో ఎవడైననొకడు శేషించియున్నాడా యని అతని నడుగగా సీబాయోనాతానుకు కుంటికాళ్లు గల కుమారుడొకడున్నాడని రాజుతో మనవిచేసెను.
3. 4అతడెక్కడ ఉన్నాడని రాజు అడుగగా సీబాచిత్త గించుము, అతడు లోదెబారులో అమీ్మయేలు కుమారుడగు మాకీరు ఇంట నున్నాడని రాజుతో అనెను.
4. 5అప్పుడు రాజైన దావీదు మనుష్యులను పంపి లోదెబారులో నున్న అమీ్మయేలు కుమారుడగు మాకీరు ఇంటనుండి అతని రప్పిం చెను.
5. 6సౌలు కుమారుడైన యోనాతానునకు పుట్టిన మెఫీబోషెతు దావీదునొద్దకు వచ్చి సాగిలపడి నమస్కారము చేయగా దావీదుమెఫీబోషెతూ అని అతని పిలిచి నప్పుడు అతడుచిత్తము, నీ దాసుడనైన నేనున్నాననెను.
