ఆత్మవిషయమై దీనులైనవారు ధన్యులు; పరలోకరాజ్యము వారిది.
Blessed [are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:3 (మత్తయి 5:3) దుఃఖపడువారు ధన్యులు; వారు ఓదార్చబడుదురు.
Blessed [are] they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Matthew 5:4 (మత్తయి 5:4) సాత్వికులు ధన్యులు; వారు భూలోకమును స్వతంత్రించుకొందురు.
Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Matthew 5:5 (మత్తయి 5:5) నీతికొరకు ఆకలిదప్పులు గలవారు ధన్యులు; వారుతృప్తిపరచబడుదురు.
Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed [are] the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:10 (మత్తయి 5:10) నా నిమిత్తము జనులు మిమ్మును నిందించి హింసించి మీమీద అబద్ధముగా చెడ్డమాటలెల్ల పలుకునప్పుడు మీరు ధన్యులు. సంతోషించి ఆనందించుడి, పరలోకమందు మీ ఫలము అధికమగును. ఈలాగున వారు మీకు పూర్వమందుండిన ప్రవక్తలను హింసించిరి.
Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
