- 12అందుకు రాజు కోపము తెచ్చుకొని అత్యాగ్రహము గల వాడై బబులోనులోని జ్ఞానులనందరిని సంహరింపవలెనని యాజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.
- 13ఇట్టి శాసనము బయలుదేరుటవలన జ్ఞానులు చంపబడవలసియుండగా, వారు దానియేలును ఆతని స్నేహి తులను చంపజూచిరి.
