సాగిలపడి నమస్కరింపనివాడెవడో వాడు మండుచున్న అగ్నిగుండములో వేయబడును.

- 12రాజా, తాము షద్రకు, మేషాకు, అబేద్నగో అను ముగ్గురు యూదులను బబులోను దేశములోని రాచకార్యములు విచారించుటకు నియమించితిరి; ఆ మనుష్యులు తమరి ఆజ్ఞను లక్ష్యపెట్టలేదు, తమరి దేవతలను పూజించుటలేదు, తమరు నిలువబెట్టించిన బంగారు ప్రతిమకు నమస్కరించుటయే లేదు అనిరి.
- 13అందుకు నెబుకద్నెజరు అత్యాగ్రహమును రౌద్రమును గలవాడై షద్రకును మేషా కును అబేద్నెగోను పట్టుకొని రండని ఆజ్ఞ ఇయ్యగా వారు ఆ మనుష్యులను పట్టుకొని రాజసన్నిధికి తీసికొని వచ్చిరి.
