రాజా, తాము షద్రకు, మేషాకు, అబేద్నగో అను ముగ్గురు యూదులను బబులోను దేశములోని రాచకార్యములు విచారించుటకు నియమించితిరి; ఆ మనుష్యులు తమరి ఆజ్ఞను లక్ష్యపెట్టలేదు, తమరి దేవతలను పూజించుటలేదు, తమరు నిలువబెట్టించిన బంగారు ప్రతిమకు నమస్కరించుటయే లేదు అనిరి.

Raajaa, taamu shadraku, meshaaku, abednago anu mugguru yoodulanu babulonu deshamuloni raachakaaryamulu vichaarinchutaku niyaminchitiri; aa manushyulu tamari aajnyanu lakshyapettaledu, tamari devatalanu poojinchutaledu, tamaru niluvabettinchina bangaaru pratimaku namaskarinchutaye ledu aniri.

11సాగిలపడి నమస్కరింపనివాడెవడో వాడు మండుచున్న అగ్నిగుండములో వేయబడును.

13అందుకు నెబుకద్నెజరు అత్యాగ్రహమును రౌద్రమును గలవాడై షద్రకును మేషా కును అబేద్నెగోను పట్టుకొని రండని ఆజ్ఞ ఇయ్యగా వారు ఆ మనుష్యులను పట్టుకొని రాజసన్నిధికి తీసికొని వచ్చిరి.
14అంతట నెబుకద్నెజరు వారితో ఇట్లనెను షద్రకూ, మేషాకూ, అబేద్నెగో మీరు నా దేవతను పూజించుట లేదనియు, నేను నిలువబెట్టించిన బంగారు ప్రతిమకు నమస్కరించుటలేదనియు నాకు వినబడినది. అది నిజమా?
