అప్పుడు ఆ శవమునకు సమీపమందున్న ఆ ఊరి పెద్దలందరు ఆ యేటి లోయలో మెడ విరుగతీయబడిన ఆ పెయ్యపైని తమ చేతులు కడుగుకొని

- 5అప్పుడు యాజకులైన లేవీయులు దగ్గరకు రావలెను. యెహోవాను సేవించి యెహోవా నామ మున దీవించుటకు ఆయన వారిని ఏర్పరచుకొనెను గనుక వారి నోటిమాటచేత ప్రతి వివాదమును దెబ్బవిషయమైన ప్రతి వ్యాజ్యెమును విమర్శింపబడవలెను.
- 6అప్పుడు ఆ శవమునకు సమీపమందున్న ఆ ఊరి పెద్దలందరు ఆ యేటి లోయలో మెడ విరుగతీయబడిన ఆ పెయ్యపైని తమ చేతులు కడుగుకొని
- 7మా చేతులు ఈ రక్తమును చిందింపలేదు, మా కన్నులు ఇది చూడ లేదు.
- 8యెహోవా, నీవు విమోచించిన నీ జనమైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నిమి త్తము ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము కలుగనిమ్ము; నీ జనమైన ఇశ్రా యేలీయులమీద నిర్దోషి యొక్క ప్రాణము తీసిన దోష మును మోపవద్దని చెప్పవలెను. అప్పుడు ప్రాణము తీసిన దోషమునకు వారినిమిత్తము ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము కలుగును.
