అతడు తన సహోదరుని భార్యను పరిగ్రహింప నొల్లనియెడల వాని సహోదరుని భార్య పట్టణపు గవినికి, అనగా పెద్దలయొద్దకు పోయినా పెనిమిటి సహోదరుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో తన సహోదరునికి పేరు స్థాపింపనని చెప్పి దేవధర్మము చేయ నొల్లడని తెలుపుకొనవలెను.

King James Version (KJV): And if the man like not to take his brother’s wife, then let his brother’s wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband’s brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband’s brother.
World English Bible (WEB): If the man doesn’t want to take his brother’s wife, then his brother’s wife shall go up to the gate to the elders, and say, “My husband’s brother refuses to raise up to his brother a name in Israel. He will not perform the duty of a husband’s brother to me.”

8అప్పుడు అతని యూరి పెద్దలు అతని పిలిపించి అతనితో మాటలాడిన తరువాత అతడు నిలువబడిఆమెను పరిగ్రహించుటకు నా కిష్టము లేదనినయెడల అతని సహోదరుని భార్య
9ఆ పెద్దలు చూచుచుండగా, అతని దాపున పోయి అతని కాలినుండి చెప్పు ఊడదీసి అతని ముఖము నెదుట ఉమ్మివేసితన సహోదరుని యిల్లు నిలుపని మనుష్యునికి ఈలాగు చేయ బడునని చెప్పవలెను.
