అచ్చట కూడినవారికి వివిధమైన బంగారు పాత్రలతో పానమిచ్చుచు, రాజు స్థితికి తగినట్టుగా రాజు ద్రాక్షారసమును దాసులు అధికముగా పోసిరి.

- 8ఆ విందు పానము ఆజ్ఞానుసారముగా జరుగుటనుబట్టి యెవరును బలవంతము చేయలేదు; ఎవడు కోరినట్టుగా వానికి పెట్టవలెనని తన కోటపనివారికి రాజు ఆజ్ఞ నిచ్చి యుండెను.
- 9రాణియైన వష్తి కూడ రాజైన అహష్వేరోషు కోటలో స్త్రీలకు ఒక విందు చేయించెను.
