2. 14ఆ మిడతలు ఐగుప్తు దేశమంతటి మీదికి వచ్చి ఐగుప్తు సమస్త ప్రాంతములలో నిలిచెను. అవి మిక్కిలి బాధకర మైనవి, అంతకు మునుపు అట్టి మిడతలు ఎప్పుడును ఉండలేదు. తరువాత అట్టివి ఉండబోవు. అవి నేలంతయు కప్పెను.
3. 15ఆ దేశమున చీకటికమ్మెను, ఆ దేశపు కూరగాయలన్నిటిని ఆ వడగండ్లు పాడుచేయని వృక్షఫలములన్నిటిని అవి తినివేసెను. ఐగుప్తు దేశమంతట చెట్లేగాని పొలముల కూరయే గాని పచ్చని దేదియు మిగిలియుండలేదు.
4. 16కాబట్టి ఫరో మోషే అహరోనులను త్వరగా పిలిపించి నేను మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయెడలను మీ యెడలను పాపముచేసితిని.
5. 17మీరు దయచేసి, యీసారి మాత్రమే నా పాపము క్షమించి, నా మీదనుండి యీ చావు మాత్రము తొలగించుమని మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను వేడుకొనుడనగా
