అందుకు వారు ఐగుప్తీయుడొకడు మందకాపరుల చేతిలోనుండి మమ్మును తప్పించి వడిగా నీళ్లు చేది మన మందకు పెట్టెననగా

King James Version (KJV): And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew [water] enough for us, and watered the flock.

17మందకాపరులు వచ్చి వారిని తోలివేసిరి. అప్పుడు మోషే లేచి వారికి సహాయము చేసి మందకు నీళ్లు పెట్టెను.
18వారు తమ తండ్రియైన రగూయేలు నొద్దకు వచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు నేడు మీరింత త్వరగా ఎట్లు వచ్చితిరనెను.
19అందుకు వారు ఐగుప్తీయుడొకడు మందకాపరుల చేతిలోనుండి మమ్మును తప్పించి వడిగా నీళ్లు చేది మన మందకు పెట్టెననగా
20అతడు తన కుమార్తెలతో - అతడెక్కడ? ఆ మనుష్యుని ఏల విడిచి వచ్చితిరి? భోజనమునకు అతని పిలుచుకొని రండనెను.
21మోషే ఆ మనుష్యునితో నివసించుటకు సమ్మతించెను. అతడు తన కుమార్తెయైన సిప్పోరాను మోషే కిచ్చెను.
