But the people [are] many, and [it is] a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither [is this] a work of one day or two: for we are many that have transgressed in this thing.

3. 13అయితే జనులు అనేకులై యున్నారు, మరియు ఇప్పుడు వర్షము బలముగా వచ్చుచున్నందున మేము బయట నిలువ లేము, ఈ పని యొకటి రెండు దినములలో జరుగునది కాదు; ఈ విషయములో అనేకులము అపరాధులము; కాబట్టి సమాజపు పెద్దలనందరిని యీ పనిమీద ఉంచవలెను,
4. 14మన పట్టణములయందు ఎవరెవరు అన్యస్త్రీలను పెండ్లిచేసికొనిరో వారందరును నిర్ణయకాలమందు రావలెను; మరియు ప్రతి పట్టణముయొక్క పెద్దలును న్యాయాధిపతులును ఈ సంగతినిబట్టి మామీదికి వచ్చిన దేవుని కఠినమైన కోపము మామీదికి రాకుండ తొలగి పోవునట్లుగా వారితోకూడ రావలెను అనిచెప్పెను.
5. 15అప్పుడు అశాహేలు కుమారుడైన యోనాతానును తిక్వా కుమారుడైన యహజ్యాయును మాత్రమే ఆ పనికి నిర్ణ యింప బడిరి. మెషుల్లామును లేవీయుడైన షబ్బెతైయును వారికి సహాయులై యుండిరి.
