1. 13అప్పుడు అబ్రాహాము కన్ను లెత్తి చూడగా పొదలో కొమ్ములు తగులుకొనియున్న ఒక పొట్టేలు వెనుక తట్టున కనబడెను. అబ్రాహాము వెళ్లి ఆ పొట్టేలును పట్టుకొని తన కుమారునికి మారుగా పెట్టి దహనబలిగా అర్పించెను
2. 14అబ్రాహాము ఆ చోటికి యెహోవా యీరే అను పేరు పెట్టెను. అందుచేత యెహోవా పర్వతము మీద చూచుకొనును అని నేటి వరకు చెప్పబడును.
3. 15యెహోవా దూత రెండవ మారు పరలోకమునుండి అబ్రాహామును పిలిచి యిట్లనెను
4. 16నీవు నీకు ఒక్కడే అయ్యున్న నీ కుమారుని ఇయ్య వెనుకతీయక యీ కార్యము చేసినందున
5. 17నేను నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించి ఆకాశ నక్షత్రముల వలెను సముద్రతీరమందలి యిసుకవలెను నీ సంతానమును నిశ్చయముగా విస్తరింపచేసెదను; నీ సంతతి వారు తమ శత్రువుల గవిని స్వాధీనపరచుకొందురు.
