యాకోబు ఆ గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలను వేరుచేసి, చారలుగల వాటి తట్టును లాబాను మందలలో నల్లని వాటి తట్టును మందల ముఖములు త్రిప్పి తన మందలను లాబాను మందలతో నుంచక వాటిని వేరుగా ఉంచెను.

Yaakobu aa gorrepillalanu veruchesi, chaaralugala vaati tattunu laabaanu mandalalo nallani vaati tattunu mandala mukhamulu trippi tana mandalanu laabaanu mandalato nunchaka vaatini verugaa unchenu.

King James Version (KJV): And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban’s cattle.

41మందలో బలమైనవి చూలు కట్టినప్పుడెల్లను అవి ఆ చువ్వల యెదుట చూలు కట్టునట్లు యాకోబు మంద కన్నుల యెదుట కాలువలలో ఆ చువ్వలు పెట్టెను.
42మంద బలహీనమైనప్పుడు పెట్టలేదు. అట్లు బలహీనమైనవి లాబానుకును బలమైనవి యాకోబు నకును వచ్చెను.
