ఐగుప్తు దేశమందున్న యేడు సంవత్సరముల ఆహారమంతయు అతడు సమకూర్చి, ఆయా పట్టణములలో దాని నిలువచేసెను. ఏ పట్టణము చుట్టునుండు పొలముయొక్క ధాన్యము ఆ పట్టణమందే నిలువచేసెను.

- 49యోసేపు సముద్రపు ఇసుకవలె అతి విస్తారముగా ధాన్యము పోగుచేసెను. కొలుచుట అసాధ్యమాయెను గనుక కొలుచుట మానివేసెను.
- 50కరవు సంవత్సరములు రాకమునుపు యోసేపుకిద్దరు కుమారులు పుట్టిరి. ఓనుయొక్క యాజకుడైన పోతీఫెర కుమార్తెయగు ఆసెనతు అతనికి వారిని కనెను.
