ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి మమ్మును రప్పించిన యెహోవా యెక్కడ నున్నాడని అరణ్యములో అనగా, ఎడారులు, గోతులుగల దేశములో అనావృష్టియు గాఢాంధకారమును కలిగి, యెవరును సంచారమైనను నివాసమైనను చేయని దేశములో మమ్మును నడిపించిన యెహోవా యెక్కడ ఉన్నాడని జనులు అడుగుటలేదు.

King James Version (KJV): Neither said they, Where [is] the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

7దాని ఫలములను శ్రేష్ఠపదార్థములను తినునట్లు నేను ఫలవంతమైన దేశములోనికి మిమ్మును రప్పింపగా మీరు ప్రవేశించి, నా దేశమును అపవిత్రపరచి నా స్యాస్థ్యమును హేయమైనదిగా చేసితిరి.
8యెహోవా యెక్కడ ఉన్నాడని యాజకులడుగరు, ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకులు నన్నెరుగరు, ఏలికలును నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేయుదురు. ప్రవక్తలు బయలుపేరట ప్రవచనములు చెప్పుదురు నిష్‌ప్రయోజనమైనవాటిని అనుసరింతురు
