[But] thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn [odours] for thee; and they will lament thee, [saying], Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD.

4. 6యూదా పట్టణములలో లాకీషును అజేకాయును ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములుగా మిగిలి యున్నవి,
5. 7బబులోనురాజు దండు యెరూషలేముమీదను మిగిలిన యూదా పట్టణములన్నిటిమీదను యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా యెరూషలేములో యూదా రాజైన సిద్కియాకు ఈ మాటలన్నిటిని ప్రకటించుచు వచ్చెను.
