7అందుకు యేసు నేను చేయుచున్నది ఇప్పుడు నీకు తెలియదుగాని యికమీదట తెలిసికొందువని అతనితో చెప్పగా
8పేతురు నీవెన్నడును నా పాదములు కడుగరాదని ఆయనతో అనెను. అందుకు యేసు నేను నిన్ను కడుగనియెడల నాతో నీకు పాలు లేదనెను.
9సీమోను పేతురు ప్రభువా, నా పాదములు మాత్రమేగాక నా చేతులు నా తలకూడ కడుగుమని ఆయనతో చెప్పెను.
10యేసు అతని చూచి స్నానముచేసినవాడు పాదములు తప్ప మరేమియు కడుగు కొన నక్కరలేదు, అతడు కేవలము పవిత్రుడయ్యెను. మీరును పవిత్రులు కాని మీలో అందరు పవిత్రులు కారనెను.
11తన్ను అప్పగించువానిని ఎరిగెను గనుక మీలో అందరు పవిత్రులు కారని ఆయన చెప్పెను.
