ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రముల న్నిటిలో ప్రతిదాని పితరుల కుటుంబపు ప్రధానుని, అనగా పదిమంది ప్రధానులను అతనితో కూడ పంపిరి, వారందరు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సమూ హములలో తమ తమ పితరుల కుటుంబములకు ప్రధానులు.
