And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall [any] word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.

2. 9యోధులు బూరల నూదుచున్న యాజకులకు ముందుగా నడిచిరి, దండు వెనుకటి భాగము మందసము వెంబడి వచ్చెను, యాజకులు వెళ్లుచు బూరలను ఊదుచుండిరి.
3. 10మరియు యెహోషువమీరు కేకలు వేయుడని నేను మీతో చెప్పు దినమువరకు మీరు కేకలువేయవద్దు. మీ కంఠధ్వని వినబడనీయవద్దు, మీ నోటనుండి యే ధ్వనియు రావలదు, నేను చెప్పునప్పుడే మీరు కేకలు వేయవలెనని జనులకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.
4. 11అట్లు యెహోవా మందసము ఆ పట్టణమును చుట్టుకొని యొకమారు దానిచుట్టు తిరిగిన తరువాత వారు పాళెములో చొచ్చి రాత్రి పాళెములో గడిపిరి.
5. 12ఉదయమున యెహోషువ లేవగా యాజకులు యెహోవా మందసమును ఎత్తికొని మోసిరి.
