గిలాదువాడైన యెఫ్తా పరాక్రమముగల బలాఢ్యుడు. అతడు వేశ్య కుమారుడు; గిలాదు యెఫ్తాను కనెను.

Gilaaduvaadaina yephtaa paraakramamugala balaadhyudu. Atadu veshya kumaarudu; gilaadu yephtaanu kanenu.

King James Version (KJV): Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he [was] the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.

3యెఫ్తా తన సహోదరులయొద్దనుండి పారిపోయి టోబు దేశమున నివ సింపగా అల్లరిజనము యెఫ్తాయొద్దకు వచ్చి అతనితో కూడ సంచరించుచుండెను.
