3. 17అతడు కన్ను లెత్తి ఊరి సంత వీధిలో ప్రయాణస్థుడైన ఆ మనుష్యుని చూచినీ వెక్కడికి వెళ్లుచున్నావు? నీ వెక్కడనుండి వచ్చితివి? అని అడిగెను.
4. 18అందు కతడుమేము యూదా బేత్లెహేమునుండి ఎఫ్రాయిమీ యుల మన్యము అవతలకు వెళ్లుచున్నాము. నేను అక్కడివాడను; నేను యూదా బేత్లెహేమునకు పోయి యుంటిని, ఇప్పుడు యెహోవా మందిరమునకు వెళ్లుచున్నాను, ఎవడును తన యింట నన్ను చేర్చుకొనలేదు.
5. 19అయితే మా గాడిదలకు గడ్డి మొదలైన మేతయు నాకును నా పనికత్తెకును నీ దాసులతో కూడ నున్న నా నౌకరులకును ఆహారమును ద్రాక్షారసమును ఉన్నవి, ఏదియు తక్కువ లేదని అతనితో చెప్పగా
