And he said unto him, We [are] passing from Beth-lehem-judah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence [am] I: and I went to Beth-lehem-judah, but I [am now] going to the house of the LORD; and there [is] no man that receiveth me to house.

He said to him, “We are passing from Bethlehem Judah to the farther side of the hill country of Ephraim. I am from there, and I went to Bethlehem Judah. I am going to the LORD’s house; and there is no one who has taken me into his house.

2. 17అతడు కన్ను లెత్తి ఊరి సంత వీధిలో ప్రయాణస్థుడైన ఆ మనుష్యుని చూచినీ వెక్కడికి వెళ్లుచున్నావు? నీ వెక్కడనుండి వచ్చితివి? అని అడిగెను.
3. 18అందు కతడుమేము యూదా బేత్లెహేమునుండి ఎఫ్రాయిమీ యుల మన్యము అవతలకు వెళ్లుచున్నాము. నేను అక్కడివాడను; నేను యూదా బేత్లెహేమునకు పోయి యుంటిని, ఇప్పుడు యెహోవా మందిరమునకు వెళ్లుచున్నాను, ఎవడును తన యింట నన్ను చేర్చుకొనలేదు.
4. 19అయితే మా గాడిదలకు గడ్డి మొదలైన మేతయు నాకును నా పనికత్తెకును నీ దాసులతో కూడ నున్న నా నౌకరులకును ఆహారమును ద్రాక్షారసమును ఉన్నవి, ఏదియు తక్కువ లేదని అతనితో చెప్పగా
5. 20ఆ ముసలివాడునీకు క్షేమమగునుగాక, నీకేవైన తక్కువైన యెడల వాటిభారము నామీద ఉంచుము.
