1. 16అట్లు అతడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సమస్త పాపములను బట్టియు, అనగా వారి అపవిత్రతను బట్టియు, వారి అతి క్రమములనుబట్టియు పరిశుద్ధ స్థలమునకు ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేయవలెను. ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారము వారిమధ్య ఉండుట వలన వారి అపవిత్రతను బట్టి అది అపవిత్ర మగుచుండును గనుక అతడు దానికి ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేయవలెను.
2. 17పరిశుద్ధస్థలములో ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేయుటకు అతడు లోపలికి పోవు నప్పుడు అతడు తన నిమిత్తమును తన యింటి వారి నిమిత్తమును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సమస్త సమాజము నిమిత్తమును ప్రాయశ్చిత్తముచేసి బయటికి వచ్చువరకు ఏ మనుష్యుడును ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారములో ఉండరాదు.
