తరువాత శిష్యులు ఏకాంతముగా యేసు నొద్దకు వచ్చిమేమెందుచేత దానిని వెళ్లగొట్టలేక పోతి మని అడిగిరి.

17అందుకు యేసువిశ్వాసములేని మూర్ఖతరమువారలారా, మీతో నేనెంత కాలము ఉందును? ఎంతవరకు మిమ్మును సహింతును? వానిని నాయొద్దకు తీసికొనిరండని చెప్పెను.
18అంతట యేసు ఆ దయ్యమును గద్దింపగా అది వానిని వదలి పోయెను; ఆ గడియనుండి ఆ చిన్నవాడు స్వస్థత నొందెను.
19తరువాత శిష్యులు ఏకాంతముగా యేసు నొద్దకు వచ్చిమేమెందుచేత దానిని వెళ్లగొట్టలేక పోతి మని అడిగిరి.
20అందుకాయనమీ అల్పవిశ్వాసము చేతనే; మీకు ఆవగింజంత విశ్వాసముండినయెడల ఈ కొండను చూచి ఇక్కడనుండి అక్కడికి పొమ్మనగానే అది పోవును;
21మీకు అసాధ్యమైనది ఏదియు నుండదని నిశ్చయముగా మీతో చెప్పుచున్నానని వారితో అనెను.
