1. 16ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో వారు నా వశము చేయ బడినవారు; తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతివానికిని, అనగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయు లలో ప్రథమ సంతానమంతటికిని ప్రతిగా వారిని నేను తీసికొనియున్నాను.
2. 17ఏలయనగా మనుష్యులలోను పశు వులలోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో తొలిచూలియైనది యావత్తును నాది; ఐగుప్తుదేశములో తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతివానిని నేను సంహరించిననాడు వారిని నాకొరకు ప్రతిష్ఠించు కొంటిని.
3. 18ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో తొలిచూలియైన ప్రతివానికి మారుగా లేవీయులను తీసికొని యున్నాను.
4. 19మరియు ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారములో ఇశ్రా యేలీయుల నిమిత్తము సేవచేయుటకును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నిమిత్తము ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేయుటకును, ఇశ్రాయేలీయు లలో లేవీయులను అహరోనుకును అతని కుమారులకును ఇచ్చి అప్పగించియున్నాను. అందువలన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు పరిశుద్ధమందిరమునకు సమీపించునప్పుడు ఏ తెగులైనను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు సంభవింపకపోవును అని చెప్పెను.
5. 20అప్పుడు మోషే అహరోనులును ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల సర్వసమాజము యెహోవా లేవీయులనుగూర్చి మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్తమునుబట్టి లేవీయులయెడల చేసిరి; ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులు వారికి అట్లేచేసిరి.
