3. 24யோவாபும் அபிசாயும் சூரியன் அஸ்தமிக்குமட்டும் அப்னேரைப் பின்தொடர்ந்தார்கள்; கிபியோன் வனாந்தர வழிக்கு அருகான கீயாவுக்கு எதிரே இருக்கிற அம்மா மேடுமட்டும் வந்தார்கள்.
4. 25அப்பொழுது அப்னேரைப் பின் சென்ற பென்யமீன் புத்திரர் ஒரே படையாகக்கூடி, ஒரு மலையின் உச்சியிலே நின்றார்கள்.
5. 26அப்பொழுது அப்னேர் யோவாபைப் பார்த்துக் கூப்பிட்டு, பட்டயம் எப்போதும் சங்காரம் பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருக்கவேண்டுமோ, முடிவிலே கசப்புண்டாகும் என்று அறியீரோ, தங்கள் சகோதரரை விட்டுப் பின்வாங்கும்படிக்கு எந்த மட்டும் ஜனங்களுக்குச் சொல்லாதிருப்பீர் என்றான்.
