3. 26ஏபேதின் குமாரனாகிய காகால் தன் சகோதரரோடே சீகேமுக்குள் போனான்; சீகேமின் பெரிய மனுஷர் அவனை நம்பி,
4. 27வெளியே புறப்பட்டு, தங்கள் திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களின் பழங்களை அறுத்து, ஆலையாட்டி, ஆடிப்பாடி, தங்கள் தேவனின் வீட்டிற்குள் போய், புசித்துக் குடித்து, அபிமெலேக்கை சபித்தார்கள்.
5. 28அப்பொழுது ஏபேதின் குமாரனாகிய காகால்: அபிமெலேக்கு யார்? சீகேம் யார்? நாம் அவனைச் சேவிக்கவேண்டியதென்ன? அவன் யெருபாகாலின் மகன் அல்லவா? சேபூல் அவனுடைய காரியக்காரன் அல்லவா? சீகேமின் தகப்பனாகிய ஏமோரின் மனுஷரையே சேவியுங்கள்; அவனை நாங்கள் சேவிப்பானேன்?
