दूसरे दिन जब पलिश्ती मारे हुओं के माल को लूटने आए, तब उनके शाऊल और उसके तीनों पुत्रा गिलबो पहाड़ पर पड़े हाए मिले।
Doosare din jab palishtee maare huom ke maal ko lootane aae, tab unake shaaool aur usake teenom putraa gilabo pahaad par pade haae mile.

- 9तब उन्हों ने शाऊल का सिर काटा, और हथियार लूट लिए, और पलिश्तियों के देश के सब स्थानों में दूतों को इसलिये भेजा, कि उनके देवालयों और साघारण लोगों में यह शुभ समाचार देते जाएं।
- 10तब उन्हों ने उसके हथियार तो आश्तोरेत नाम देवियों के मन्दिर में रखे, और उसकी लोथ बेतशान की शहरपनाह में जड़दी।
