परन्तु उन खूनियों के लड़केवालों को उस ने न मार डाला, क्योंकि यहोवा की यह आज्ञा मूसा की रयवस्था की पुस्तक में लिखी है, कि पुत्रा के कारण पिता न मार डाला जाए, और पिता के कारण पुत्रा न मार डाला जाए: जिस ने पाप किया हो, वही उस पाप के कारण मार डाला जाए।

Parantu un khooniyom ke ladakevaalom ko us ne na maar daalaa, kyonki yahovaa kee yah aajnyaa moosaa kee rayavasthaa kee pustak mem likhee hai, ki putraa ke kaaran pitaa na maar daalaa jaae, aur pitaa ke kaaran putraa na maar daalaa jaae: jis ne paap kiyaa ho, vahee us paap ke kaaran maar daalaa jaae.

King James Version (KJV): But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

7उसी अमस्याह ने लोन की तराई में दस हजार एदोमी पुरूष मार डाले, और सेला नगर से युठ्ठ करके उसे ले लिया, और उसका नाम योक्तेल रखा, और वह नाम आज तक चलता है।
8तब अमस्याह ने इस्राएल के राजा योआश के पास जो येहू का पोता और यहोआहाज का पुत्रा था दूतों से कहला भेजा, कि आ हम एक दूसरे का साम्हना करें।
