अर्थात् हम्मदाता के पुत्रा यहूदियों के विरोधी हामान के दसों पुत्रों को भी घात किया; परन्तु उनके धन को न लूटा।

8पोराता, अदल्या, अरीदाता,
9पर्मशता, अरीसै, अरीदै और वैजाता,
10अर्थात् हम्मदाता के पुत्रा यहूदियों के विरोधी हामान के दसों पुत्रों को भी घात किया; परन्तु उनके धन को न लूटा।
11उसी दिन शूशन राजगढ़ में घात किए हुओं की गिनती राजा को सुनाई गई।
12तब राजा ने एस्तेर रानी से कहा, यहूदियों ने शूशन राजगढ़ ही में पांच सौ मनुष्य और हामान के दसों पुत्रों को भी घात करके नाश किया है; फिर राज्य के और और प्रान्तों में उन्हों ने न जाने क्या क्या किया होगा! अब इस से अधिक तेरा निवेदन क्या है? वह भी पूरा किया जाएगा। और तू क्या मांगती है? वह भी तुझे दिया जाएगा।
