यीशु ने उन को उत्तर दिया, कि मैं भी तुम से एक बात पूछता हूं; यदि वह मुझे बताओगे, तो मैं भी तुम्हें बताऊंगा; कि ये काम किस अधिकार से करता हूं।
Yeeshu ne un ko uttar diyaa, ki maim bhee tum se ek baat poochhataa hoom; yadi vah mujhe bataaoge, to maim bhee tumhem bataaoongaa; ki ye kaam kis adhikaar se karataa hoon.

- 25यूहन्ना का बपतिस्मा कहां से था? स्वर्ग की ओर से या मनुष्यों की ओर से था? तब वे आपस में विवाद करने लगे, कि यदि हम कहें स्वर्ग की ओर से, तो वह हमे से कहेगा, फिर तुम ने उस की प्रतीति क्यों न की?
- 26और यदि कहें मनुष्यों की ओर से तो हमें भीड़ का डर है; क्योंकि वे सब युहन्ना को भविष्यद्वक्ता जानते हैं।
