ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕವೇನಂದರೆ--ಹಕ್ಮೋನಿಯನಾದ ಯಾಷೊಬ್ಬಾ ಮನು ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಮಂದಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಈಟಿ ಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದನು.
Daaveedana sangada idda paraakramashaaligala lekkavenandare--hakmoniyanaada yaashobbaa manu adhipatigalalli mukhyasthanaagiddanu; avanu munnooru mandige virodhavaagi tanna eeti yannu etti onde saari avarannu kondu haakidanu.

- 12ಅವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಅಹೋಹ್ಯನಾ ದಂಥ ದೋದೋನ ಮಗನಾದಂಥ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನು ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಾಶಾಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾ ಗಿದ್ದನು.
- 13ಇವನು ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಪಸ್ದವ್ಮೆಾಮಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಜವೆಗೋಧಿ ತುಂಬಿರುವ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವಾಗ ಜನರು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
