2. 2ದಾವೀದನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪರ ದೇಶಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಲು ಹೇಳಿ ದೇವರ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೆತ್ತನೆ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುಟಿಗರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.
3. 3ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಬಾಗಲುಗಳ ಕದಗಳನ್ನು ಜೋಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಮೊಳೆಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವನ್ನೂ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲ ದಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ತಾಮ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು;
4. 4ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಸಿದನು; ಚೀದೋನ್ಯರೂ ತೂರ್ಯರೂ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದರು.
5. 5ಇದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ದಾವೀದನು--ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋ ನನು ಹುಡುಗನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮೃದುವಾದವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ; ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕಾದ ಮನೆಯೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯದ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಘನವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು; ನಾನು ಅದ ಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಈಗ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವೆನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನು ಸಾಯುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು.
