ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ಅನೇಕ ಸುಳ್ಳುಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ಲೋಕದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಂಬದೆ ಆಯಾ ಆತ್ಮಗಳು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದವುಗಳೋ ಅಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಕು.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದನೆಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಆತ್ಮವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ; ಇದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಈ ಆತ್ಮನು ದೇವರಾತ್ಮನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತೀರಿ.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದನೆಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಆತ್ಮವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟದ್ದಲ್ಲ; ಅದು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತವಿರೋಧಿಯ ಆತ್ಮ ವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದು ಬರುವದೆಂಬದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿ ದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲಾ; ಈಗಲೂ ಅದು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ.
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನೀವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವರಾ ಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಅವರನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವಾತನು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವವನಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
ಅವರು ಲೋಕಸಂಬಂಧಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಈ ಕಾರಣ ದಿಂದ ಅವರು ಲೋಕಸಂಬಂಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾ ಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಲೋಕದವರು ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
ನಾವಂತೂ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವ ರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಡದವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಸತ್ಯದ ಆತ್ಮ, ಅದು ಸುಳ್ಳಿನ ಆತ್ಮ ಎಂದು ಇದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ತಿಳಿದು ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನಾವು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸೋಣ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ದೇವರಿಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನೂ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ವನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವನಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
ನಾವು ಆತನ ಮೂಲಕ ಜೀವಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿದೆ.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
ನಾವು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿಯಲ್ಲ, ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಆತನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.
ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾವು ಸಹ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವ ಹಂಗಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
ದೇವರನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಎಂದೂ ನೋಡಿಲ್ಲ; ನಾವು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
ಆತನು ನಮಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆಂತಲೂ ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆಂತಲೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತೇವೆ.
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
ತಂದೆಯು ಮಗನನ್ನು ಲೋಕರಕ್ಷಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಾವು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world.
ಯೇಸು ದೇವರ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಯಾವನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಅವನು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
ನಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ದೇವರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆ ಗೊಂಡಿರುವವನು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಧೈರ್ಯ ವಿರುವಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಸಿದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಬಂತು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಎಂಥವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೋ ನಾವು ಅಂಥವ ರಾಗಿಯೇ ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಹೆದರಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಭಯವಿರು ವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾತನೆಯಿರುವದು. ಭಯಪಡುವವನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಬಂದವನಲ್ಲ.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
ಆತನು ಮೊದಲು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.
We love him, because he first loved us.
ಒಬ್ಬನು--ನಾನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ತಾನು ಕಾಣುವ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸದವನು ಕಾಣದಿರುವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಅವನು ಹೇಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಾನು?ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಆತನಿಂದ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಆತನಿಂದ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
