ಆಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೂಟವೂ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದನು;
Aaga yaarobbaamanoo israayelina samasta kootavoo rehabbaamana balige bandu avana sangada maatanaadi--ninna tandeyu namma nogavannu kathinavaaga maadidanu;

- 3ಆಗ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕೂಟವೂ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದನು;
- 4ಈಗ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ಅವನ ಭಾರವಾದ ನೊಗವನ್ನೂ ಹಗುರಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿ ಸುವೆವು ಅಂದರು.
- 5ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ಮೂರು ದಿವಸಗಳ ತರುವಾಯ ತಿರಿಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಹೋದರು.
