ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹಿಂತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗದೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು.

- 8ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಅರ್ಧ ಮನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಕುಡಿಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
- 9ಯಾಕಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನಬೇಡ, ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಬೇಡ; ನೀನು ಬಂದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹಿಂತಿ ರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯದಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಆಯಿತು ಅಂದನು.
- 10ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹಿಂತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗದೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
- 11ಆದರೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ವೃದ್ಧನಾದ ಪ್ರವಾ ದಿಯು ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಂದು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು;
- 12ಅವನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಆಗ ಅವರ ತಂದೆ ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು ಅಂದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹೋದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನೋಡಿದ್ದರು.
