ಆದರೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ವೃದ್ಧನಾದ ಪ್ರವಾ ದಿಯು ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಂದು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು;

Aadare betelinalli obba vruddhanaada pravaa diyu vaasavaagiddanu. Avana makkalu bandu aa dinadalli betelinalli devara manushyanu maadida samasta kriyegalannu avanige tilisidaru;

King James Version (KJV): Now there dwelt an old prophet in Beth-el; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Beth-el: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.

10ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹಿಂತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗದೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು.
11ಆದರೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ವೃದ್ಧನಾದ ಪ್ರವಾ ದಿಯು ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಂದು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು;
12ಅವನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಆಗ ಅವರ ತಂದೆ ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು ಅಂದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹೋದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನೋಡಿದ್ದರು.
13ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆಕತ್ತೆಗೆ ತಡಿ ಹಾಕಿರಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅವರು ಕತ್ತೆಗೆ ತಡಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು; ಅವನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನು ಏಲಾ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಂಡನು.
