ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತು--ನೀನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನಬೇಡ, ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯಬೇಡ; ಬಂದ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು ಅಂದನು.
Kartana maatu--neenu alli rotti tinnabeda, neeru kudiyabeda; banda maarga dinda tirugi hogabeda endu nanage hela lpattitu andanu.

- 18ಇವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಮತ್ತು ಒಬ್ಬ ದೂತನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತಿನಿಂದ ನನಗೆ--ಅವನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿಂದು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಇವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 19ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಇವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿಂದು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿದನು.
