ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಅಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಯೊರ್ದನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿರುವ ಕೆರೀತ್‌ ಹಳ್ಳದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ ವಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
Avanu hogi kartana maatina haageye maadidanu; andare avanu hogi yordanige eduraagiruva kereet hallada baliyalli vaasa vaagiddanu.

- 6ಕಾಗೆಗಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದವು. ಅವನು ಆ ಹಳ್ಳದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
- 7ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಏನಾಯಿ ತಂದರೆ, ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಹಳ್ಳವು ಬತ್ತಿಹೋಯಿತು.
