ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ವೇಳೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಎಲೀಯನು ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು--ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೂ ಇಸಾಕನಿಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿಗೂ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ದೇವರೆಂದೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನೆಂದೂ ನಾನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದೆನೆಂದೂ ಇಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಲ್ಪಡಲಿ.

King James Version (KJV): And it came to pass at [the time of] the offering of the [evening] sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou [art] God in Israel, and [that] I [am] thy servant, and [that] I have done all these things at thy word.
World English Bible (WEB): At the time of the evening offering, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “LORD, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.

37ನೀನು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೆಂದೂ ನೀನು ಅವರ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ತಿರಿಗಿಸುತ್ತಿ ಎಂದೂ ಈ ಜನವು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡು, ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡು ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿದನು.
38ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದು ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನೂ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕಾಲುವೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹೀರಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.
