ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೌಲನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನು--ಸಮುವೇಲನು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಹೇಳಿದನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ಅಂದನು.

Adakke saulana chikkappanu--samuvelanu ninage enu helidanu dayamaadi nanage tilisu andanu.

13ಅವನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು.
14ಆಗ ಸೌಲನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನು--ನೀವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ಕತ್ತೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವದಕ್ಕೆ; ಅವುಗಳು ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋದ ದರಿಂದ ಸಮುವೇಲನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದೆವು ಅಂದನು.
15ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೌಲನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನು--ಸಮುವೇಲನು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಹೇಳಿದನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
16ಸೌಲನು ತನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನಿಗೆ--ಕತ್ತೆಗಳು ದೊರಕಿದವೆಂದು ಅವನು ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಹೇಳಿದ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸೌಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
17ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಜನರನ್ನು ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--
