ಸೌಲನು ತನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನಿಗೆ--ಕತ್ತೆಗಳು ದೊರಕಿದವೆಂದು ಅವನು ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಹೇಳಿದ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸೌಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Saulanu tanna chikkappanige--kattegalu dorakidavendu avanu namage spashtavaagi tilisidanu andanu. Aadare samuvelanu helida raajyada maatannu saulanu avanige tilisalilla.

- 17ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಜನರನ್ನು ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--
- 18ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತರ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಾಧೆಪಡಿಸಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದೆನು.
