ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವರುನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಹೋಗುವೆವು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನೆಂಬದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದೇ ನಮಗೆ ಗುರುತಾಗಿರುವದು ಅಂದನು.

- 9ಅವರು--ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿರೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ನಾವು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವೆವು.
- 10ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವರುನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಹೋಗುವೆವು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನೆಂಬದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದೇ ನಮಗೆ ಗುರುತಾಗಿರುವದು ಅಂದನು.
- 11ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಠಾಣದ ವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರುಇಗೋ, ಗುಹೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಇಬ್ರಿಯರು ಹೊರಟು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆಂದರು.
- 12ಠಾಣದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಯೋನಾತಾನನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಆಯುಧ ಹೊರುವವನಿಗೂ--ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಆಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ವನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಏರಿ ಬಾ; ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು ಅಂದನು.
