ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಠಾಣದ ವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರುಇಗೋ, ಗುಹೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಇಬ್ರಿಯರು ಹೊರಟು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆಂದರು.

- 11ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಠಾಣದ ವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರುಇಗೋ, ಗುಹೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಇಬ್ರಿಯರು ಹೊರಟು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆಂದರು.
- 12ಠಾಣದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಯೋನಾತಾನನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಆಯುಧ ಹೊರುವವನಿಗೂ--ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಆಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ವನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಏರಿ ಬಾ; ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು ಅಂದನು.
- 13ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಲೂ ಹತ್ತಿದನು. ಅವನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವ ವನು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹತ್ತಿದನು. ಆಗ ಪಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಯೋನಾತಾನನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿದ್ದರು. ಅವನ ಆಯುಧ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುವವನು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೊಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದನು.
