ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅಳಿಯನಾಗುವದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು.

25ಆದರೆ ಸೌಲನು-- ದಾವೀದ ನನ್ನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬೀಳಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೆನಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ಅರಸನು ಯಾವ ತೆರವನ್ನೂ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ತನ್ನ ಶತ್ರು ಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮುಂದೊಗಲನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸು ತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
26ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅಳಿಯನಾಗುವದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು.
27ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಈಡೇರುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೊಗ ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದು ತಾನು ಅಳಿಯನಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯಾದ ವಿಾಕಲಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
28ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಾದ ವಿಾಕಲಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆಂದೂ ಸೌಲನು ತಿಳುಕೊಂಡನು;
