1. 15ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆ ದಂಡಿಗೆ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀಯಾ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಯಾಜಮಾನನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆ ದಂಡಿಗೆ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
2. 16ಇವನು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದದರಿಂದ ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿದು ನಾಟ್ಯವಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
3. 17ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವದಿಂದ ಮಾರ ನೆಯ ದಿವಸದ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದವರೆಗೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿ ಓಡಿಹೋದ ನಾನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರ ಹೊರತು ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ.
4. 18ಅಮಾ ಲೇಕ್ಯರು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಾವೀದನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
5. 19ಅವರು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದ ಕಿರಿಯರ ಹಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಕುಮಾರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಾದ ಯಾವ ವಸ್ತು ಗಳಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಒಂದೂ ಕೊರತೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ದಾವೀ ದನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ತಿರಿಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು.
