ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಆರು ನೂರು ಜನರೂ ಹೋದರು; ಅವರು ಬೆಸೋರ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಹಳ್ಳದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತರು.
Aaga daaveedanoo avana sangada idda aaru nooru janaroo hodaru; avaru besor emba hallada balige bandaaga hindulidavaru alli nintaru.

- 7ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನೆಂಬ ಯಾಜಕ ನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಏಫೋದನ್ನು ನನಗಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನು ಎಫೋದನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದನು.
- 8ದಾವೀದನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಆ ದಂಡಿನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟಲೋ? ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಬಹುದೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು--ನೀನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟು; ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ ಅಂದನು.
- 9ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಆರು ನೂರು ಜನರೂ ಹೋದರು; ಅವರು ಬೆಸೋರ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಹಳ್ಳದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತರು.
- 10ದಾವೀದನು, ತಾನೂ ನಾನೂರು ಜನರೂ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿಹೋದರು. ಬೆಸೋರಿನ ಹಳ್ಳವನ್ನು ದಾಟಲಾರದೆ ದಣಿದಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಜನರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತರು.
- 11ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯನನ್ನು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು; ಅವನು ತಿಂದನು.
